The Texas Hold Em Poker rules are relatively simple to learn, but the game is definitely rather exciting. The game usually begins with the two players, who are the first two players located to the left of the button (dealer) being forced to make a bet. The first player is called a 1st blind, and he must put up ½ a minimum bet, whereas the 2nd blind must bet a full minimum bet.
Following this, all players are given two cards, and these are called their hole cards. There is a tremendous amount of vocabulary involved in playing by the Texas Hold Em poker rules. The 3rd player to the left of the dealer must now bet. This 3rd player has the option to fold, raise or call. A call is matching the last bet, a fold is to let go of any claim to the pot, a raise is to double the last bet, and a check is basically declaring that you pass. Betting structures will differ in pot limit, no limit and limited forms of poker, thus be quite familiar with what the betting structure is going to be regarding their Texas Hold Em poker rules prior to joining the group.
Once that betting round is over, three cards are dealt face up, called the flop. It is common for the dealer to burn or discard a card prior to the deal each time to prevent cheating or accidentally seeing the top card. At this point players mentally create the best poker hands that they can using their two original cards along with the three that are showing in the flop. Another round of betting takes place, which is always led via the player to the left of the dealer. Then the dealer lays another card next to the three showing. This 4th card is called the turn, and another round of betting happens. When all bets are in, yet another 5th card is laid out, and this is called the river. Be sure and understand the vocabulary involved in Texas HoldEm poker rules (for beginners), as everyone is going to use these terms throughout the game.
At this point, the players have seven cards with which to make the best poker hands mentally. Once more the betting takes place, and when this is over, all must reveal their best poker hands. The winner, according to the Texas Hold Em poker rules, is the one with the very best poker hand of course, gets the pot!
Keep in mind first that the goal in keeping with Chinese poker rules is to have three good poker hands made up of your 13 cards that the dealer has dealt to you. The breakdown is going to consist of 5 cards, 5 cards and 3 cards. Hands will be judged by “units,” thus everyone in the game agrees on what a unit will be worth, be it $100, $10 or $1.
How you are going to position your 13 cards is of supreme importance in Chinese poker rules. Using the normal poker rules of counting your cards with such things as consecutive cards, four of a kind, straight, flush, full house, three of a kind, two pair, one pair, or royal flush, etc. all three hands must make a poker hand. There aren’t any wild cards.
The three different hands are referred to as back hand, middle hand, and front hand, the front hand is the one that consists of 3 cards. The back hand should be the strongest, with the weakest being the front hand. Part of the Chinese poker rules is that your front hand will be judged only on a high card, one pair or three of a kind. All players lay their 3 hands face down, with the front hand closest to the center of the table, and their back hand closest to themselves.
Courteously, everyone waits until everyone is ready and then the hands are turned face up. You will win one unit for each of your hands that is better than an opponents, and you will lose a unit to those that beat you. Equal hands do not win or lose anything.
Depending on who you play Chinese Poker with, or different casinos, there are at times increased payments attached to certain hands, or occasionally certain cards in certain specified plays may be treated differently. Be sure and ascertain what the stakes are prior to sitting down to a game as well as any other Chinese poker rules that may have been invoked with that particular group.
You will find that there are many variations of this game, including extra units given for specified hands, or one may play against the house only, as examples. The point is, of course, that all must agree on different Chinese poker rules before playing what the special units will be, and how they will be calculated.
